For the young single-handed sailor, you can't really beat a Laser. They are a great single handed boat, with three rig sizes to suit different weight and experience helms and second hand boats are easy and relatively cheap to buy. There is a dedicated group of young Laser sailors in Laser 4.7s and Radials. You can guarantee that there will be one of our Youth Laser sailors on the start line for club racing no matter the wind.  Lasers are consistently the biggest fleet in the club and there are plenty of more experienced Laser sailors around to help out and provide advice. Currently we don't have someone to coach Lasers, but if you are interested then please let us know.
