Restronguet Sailing Club is on the banks of the Carrick Roads, near Falmouth - one of the major holiday resorts in the South West.

There is a huge range of accommodation available to sailors. Self-catering accommodation, hotels and bed and breakfasts abound within Falmouth and the surrounding area.

If you want to be within walking distance of the Sailing Club (postcode TR11 5UF), you need to be in Mylor Harbour/ Mylor Churchtown. Houses right at the eastern end of Church Road are just about within walking distance via a footpath (much further by road).

The closest villages are Mylor Bridge (at the head of Mylor Creek) and Flushing (picturesque, with very narrow streets, overlooking Falmouth harbour) about 2Km away.

  • Penryn is one of Cornwall's oldest towns, and is mentioned in the Domesday Survey of 1086. It's about about 3Km from the club.
  • Restronguet is a village, just north of Mylor Bridge, about 5Km from the club, with a picturesque pub, the Pandora Inn on the entrance to Restronguet Creek.
  • Falmouth is about 9Km away.
  • Maenporth is a hamlet with a beach south of Falmouth towards the Helford River, it's about 11Km from the club.
  • St Mawes is a lovely town and harbour, about 3-4Km by RIB, but an hour by road + ferry!

The CL status means facitilities are limited to rubbish bins for trash, a septic tank for chemical loos and fresh water. Pitches do, however, have electric hook ups. Spectacular views over the Carrick Roads.
